- Lead the end-to-end grant lifecycle for a $1M institutional portfolio
- Identify and cultivate new funding prospects to expand the donor base
- Collaborate with program leaders to translate metrics into compelling impact stories
- Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to ensure compliance and timely submissions
- Monitor and analyze grant performance trends to inform future strategies
Essential
- Minimum of four years of professional experience in nonprofit development, grant writing, or institutional giving
- Proven track record of managing the full grant lifecycle from research to reporting
- Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of institutional funders generating significant annual revenue
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to create data-driven narratives
- Strong verbal communication and relationship management abilities
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Preferred
- Experience using Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM databases
- Background in animal welfare or human services sectors
- Experience in strategic partnership development
