Key Responsibilities
- Lead federal policy strategy regarding public charge and immigrant access to healthcare, housing, and nutrition.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with congressional offices and federal agencies.
- Produce policy briefs, strategic recommendations, and analysis of federal litigation.
- Collaborate with the Movement Building Director to align policy goals with grassroots mobilization.
- Advise organizational leadership on political risks and emerging legislative opportunities.
Essential
- Deep expertise in public benefits policy and immigrant rights
- Proven track record of federal legislative and regulatory advocacy
- Ability to serve as a primary representative on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies
- Experience developing comprehensive, long-term policy strategies
- Ability to monitor and interpret complex litigation and federal regulations
Preferred
- Experience navigating large, diverse coalitions with over 800+ partners
- Established relationships with congressional committees and federal agency staff
- Experience in multi-sectoral advocacy involving health, nutrition, and housing
