Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct technical and consultative support to Governors and their senior advisors
  • Author issue briefs, white papers, and presentations on energy best practices
  • Facilitate strategy sessions and panel discussions for state policy leaders
  • Monitor and analyze trends in energy affordability, reliability, and grid resilience
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key stakeholders in the energy sector

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in public policy or a related academic field
  • Commitment to the NGA’s bipartisan mission and the principles of federalism
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Washington, DC
  • Capability to organize and facilitate virtual, in-person, and hybrid learning events
  • Strong writing skills for producing memos, issue briefs, and blog posts

Preferred

  • One to three years of professional experience in energy policy or program management
  • Substantive knowledge of energy regulation and infrastructure project deployment
  • Experience with energy planning and program implementation
