Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead the implementation of state and local advocacy strategies for Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI).
- Manage and mentor a team of advocacy professionals to achieve organizational influence goals.
- Develop tools, resources, and training modules to empower local IRC staff in 29 U.S. cities.
- Cultivate relationships with key state-level stakeholders, policymakers, and coalition partners.
- Collaborate with federal policy and communications teams to ensure alignment across all levels of advocacy.
Essential
- Proven track record in developing and executing multi-year advocacy strategies
- Experience managing full-time professional staff
- Ability to represent an organization in external coalitions and with policymakers
- Expertise in state and local legislative processes
- Capacity to provide direct advocacy support and training to decentralized program offices
Preferred
- Previous experience within a large international non-governmental organization (INGO)
- Established network within the U.S. resettlement and asylum policy community
- Experience in digital advocacy and policy communications
