Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the implementation of state and local advocacy strategies for Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI).
  • Manage and mentor a team of advocacy professionals to achieve organizational influence goals.
  • Develop tools, resources, and training modules to empower local IRC staff in 29 U.S. cities.
  • Cultivate relationships with key state-level stakeholders, policymakers, and coalition partners.
  • Collaborate with federal policy and communications teams to ensure alignment across all levels of advocacy.

Essential

  • Proven track record in developing and executing multi-year advocacy strategies
  • Experience managing full-time professional staff
  • Ability to represent an organization in external coalitions and with policymakers
  • Expertise in state and local legislative processes
  • Capacity to provide direct advocacy support and training to decentralized program offices

Preferred

  • Previous experience within a large international non-governmental organization (INGO)
  • Established network within the U.S. resettlement and asylum policy community
  • Experience in digital advocacy and policy communications
