Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of grant-funded policy initiatives regarding Medicaid and 340B programs
- Develop and execute intersectional state policy strategies for maternal health and chronic disease
- Monitor and analyze state legislative developments to create advocacy toolkits
- Act as the primary liaison between BWHI and state-level government officials
- Collaborate with internal Programs and Research teams to align policy with community needs
Essential
- Deep subject matter expertise in Medicaid policy and the 340B Drug Pricing Program
- Proven track record of tracking and analyzing state-level legislation and regulatory trends
- Experience in translating complex policy research into actionable advocacy recommendations
- Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with state officials and external partners
- Capacity to lead intersectional policy strategies across multiple health domains
Preferred
- Based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area
- Experience working within a national non-profit or advocacy organization
- Familiarity with emerging healthcare issues such as AI in medical settings
