Key Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of grant-funded policy initiatives regarding Medicaid and 340B programs
  • Develop and execute intersectional state policy strategies for maternal health and chronic disease
  • Monitor and analyze state legislative developments to create advocacy toolkits
  • Act as the primary liaison between BWHI and state-level government officials
  • Collaborate with internal Programs and Research teams to align policy with community needs

Essential

  • Deep subject matter expertise in Medicaid policy and the 340B Drug Pricing Program
  • Proven track record of tracking and analyzing state-level legislation and regulatory trends
  • Experience in translating complex policy research into actionable advocacy recommendations
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with state officials and external partners
  • Capacity to lead intersectional policy strategies across multiple health domains

Preferred

  • Based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area
  • Experience working within a national non-profit or advocacy organization
  • Familiarity with emerging healthcare issues such as AI in medical settings
