Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the finance team while reviewing staff transactions for accuracy
- Direct the month-end close process and maintain the general ledger
- Partner with department leaders to analyze financial performance and operational budgets
- Coordinate with external auditors for tax returns, surveys, and Medicare reports
- Optimize financial systems and workflows to improve data integrity and efficiency
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in general ledger accounting
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP principles
- Proven ability to manage month-end closing processes
- Experience overseeing payroll functions and related tax reporting
- Ability to perform complex bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Preferred
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- Background in a healthcare or clinical environment
- Familiarity with Medicare Cost Reporting and Rural Health Clinic financial requirements
