Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise departmental Medical Directors and oversee nursing care programs
- Balance a half-time clinical schedule with executive administrative duties
- Advise the CEO and COO on clinical staffing needs and technological investments
- Develop and implement written performance standards for all medical personnel
- Manage the recruitment of new physicians and ensure adequate call coverage schedules
- Oversee the handling, inventory, and record-keeping of controlled substances
Essential
- Must hold an MD or DO degree
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Med-Peds
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Missouri
- Ability to manage controlled substances in compliance with clinic policy and legal standards
- Willingness to maintain a 50% clinical and 50% administrative workload
Preferred
- Previous experience in a Medical Director or clinical leadership role
- Experience working within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar non-profit setting
- Proven track record in physician recruitment and retention
