Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the integrity of the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers including AP/AR
  • Interpret and implement evolving financial reporting standards and regulations
  • Lead complex audit processes and proactively mitigate compliance risks
  • Perform sophisticated data modeling to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Provide mentorship and daily guidance to junior accounting staff

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum of five years of professional accounting experience
  • Ability to develop and maintain complex accounting systems
  • Experience with revenue reconciliation and general ledger management
  • Capability to interpret and apply financial reporting regulations

Preferred

  • Prior experience working within a nonprofit organization
  • Background in a healthcare or medical setting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
  • Previous experience in public accounting
  • Familiarity with large-scale enterprise accounting software such as Lawson
