Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the integrity of the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers including AP/AR
- Interpret and implement evolving financial reporting standards and regulations
- Lead complex audit processes and proactively mitigate compliance risks
- Perform sophisticated data modeling to ensure reporting accuracy
- Provide mentorship and daily guidance to junior accounting staff
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Minimum of five years of professional accounting experience
- Ability to develop and maintain complex accounting systems
- Experience with revenue reconciliation and general ledger management
- Capability to interpret and apply financial reporting regulations
Preferred
- Prior experience working within a nonprofit organization
- Background in a healthcare or medical setting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
- Previous experience in public accounting
- Familiarity with large-scale enterprise accounting software such as Lawson
