Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term technical strategy and staffing roadmaps
• Manage and mentor five engineering managers across various product teams
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle for web and mobile applications
• Lead recruitment efforts with a specific focus on diversity and inclusion
• Collaborate with cross-functional executives to align engineering output with business goals
• Maintain system architecture, infrastructure, and performance standards

Essential

• Minimum of 8 years in engineering management roles
• Proven track record leading teams that build consumer-facing products
• Experience overseeing cross-platform development (Web, iOS, and Android)
• Ability to evaluate complex architectural trade-offs and guide technical decision-making
• Experience managing other managers (leading leaders)
• Willingness to work in a fast-moving, high-growth environment

Preferred

• Direct experience scaling engineering teams from medium to large sizes
• Desire to remain hands-on or closely connected to the codebase
• Experience with GraphQL and Apollo
• Background in media or high-traffic consumer platforms
