Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the long-term legal operations strategy and roadmap
- Administer and optimize legal tech systems including AI and discovery tools
- Manage the legal department budget and provide financial insights to leadership
- Oversee outside counsel performance and spend optimization
- Create SOPs, playbooks, and self-service templates for the broader business
- Triage incoming legal requests and manage internal service level agreements
Essential
- Extensive experience in legal operations within a fast-paced or high-growth environment
- Proven ability to manage legal technology stacks including CLM, e-billing, and matter management
- Experience managing outside counsel relationships and negotiating rates
- Strong financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and spend tracking
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco at least three days per week
Preferred
- JD degree or legal background (JD Preferred/Advantage role)
- Experience implementing AI tools within a legal workflow
- Background in scaling legal functions for global organizations
