Key Responsibilities
- Direct the engineering efforts for Redpanda Cloud, Serverless, and BYOC products
- Recruit and empower top-tier engineering talent and first-line managers
- Establish and monitor metrics for engineering productivity and team health
- Partner with Product and Sales to ensure technical delivery meets customer needs
- Drive operational excellence and reliability across all cloud offerings
Essential
- Minimum of 10 years in software engineering with a focus on enterprise SaaS
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering management
- Proven track record leading organizations of 20+ engineers and managers
- Deep technical expertise in Kubernetes and distributed systems
- Extensive experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Background in event-driven architectures
- Experience aligning engineering roadmaps with business and product strategy
Preferred
- Experience with AI infrastructure or Agentic applications
- History of working in high-growth, venture-backed environments
- Experience with multi-modal data streaming engines
