Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the multi-year technical roadmap for global network infrastructure
- Lead high-impact projects across both infrastructure and product engineering teams
- Mentor and coach a distributed team of senior engineers to foster technical growth
- Architect solutions for global interconnectivity, edge security, and service mesh evolution
- Represent Airbnb within the CNCF and broader open-source networking communities
Essential
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software or network engineering
- Proven track record of managing and scaling large-scale networking systems
- Deep expertise in public cloud network architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Hands-on experience with network gateways, DNS, Edge proxies, and CDNs
- Strong proficiency in cloud-native networking products like VPCs and PrivateLink
Preferred
- Extensive experience with Istio and Envoy
- Active contributions to the open-source community
- Experience leading large-scale infrastructure migrations or initiatives
