Key Responsibilities

  • Influence state and federal hemp regulations regarding packaging and direct-to-consumer frameworks
  • Represent the company in trade associations and industry coalitions to drive unified advocacy
  • Advise the executive team on market prioritization based on regulatory feasibility
  • Draft and deliver formal testimony and policy positions to legislative bodies
  • Collaborate with internal legal and sales teams to align GTM strategies with evolving laws

Essential

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in government affairs or regulatory advocacy
  • Proven track record in highly regulated sectors such as hemp, cannabis, alcohol, or specialized CPG
  • Deep knowledge of the state-level hemp beverage policy landscape and current regulatory trends
  • Experience influencing legislative outcomes and packaging/DTC frameworks
  • Ability to create high-quality advocacy materials including white papers and regulatory comments

Preferred

  • Existing relationships with state regulators and legislative staff in key markets
  • Experience leading industry coalitions or trade association working groups
  • Background in navigating the specific political dynamics of fast-moving startup environments
