- Design and execute proactive state-level government affairs strategies
- Advocate for company priorities before state agencies and legislative bodies
- Monitor and report on legislative risks and opportunities in the EdTech space
- Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to align policy with business goals
- Oversee external consultants and lobbying resources
Essential
- Proven track record in state-level government relations and advocacy
- Ability to represent the company as the principal liaison to state legislators and executive officials
- Experience tracking and analyzing complex legislative, regulatory, and budgetary actions
- Capability to manage and coordinate external lobbying firms and consultants
- Experience in preparing policy briefs, formal testimony, and advocacy collateral
Preferred
- Deep network within state-level higher education policy groups
- Experience in the educational technology (EdTech) or SaaS sector
- Existing bipartisan relationships across multiple state legislatures
