- Architect and communicate the long-term data engineering vision and roadmap
- Align data infrastructure goals with broader R&D and Product milestones
- Ensure high data quality and reliability for ML and Product stakeholders
- Balance the delivery of immediate improvements with long-term platform scalability
- Cultivate a rigorous engineering culture focused on best practices and accountability
- Mentor and develop the next tier of engineering leadership within the organization
Essential
- Over 10 years of experience in engineering or data leadership roles
- Minimum of 3 years specifically managing other managers or team leads
- Demonstrated history of scaling large-scale data platforms from the ground up
- Ability to perform deep-dive technical reviews and provide substantive feedback on complex codebases
- Expertise in managing event-stream data at petabyte scale (1B+ events daily)
- Strong proficiency in modern data reliability, monitoring, and lineage tools
- Experience with data contracts and schema evolution strategies
- Exceptional asynchronous written communication and collaborative skills
Preferred
- Direct experience within the programmatic advertising or AdTech industry
- Practical experience or deep familiarity with Machine Learning workflows
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science
