Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Legal department's annual and quarterly budget development and forecasting
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for managing outside counsel and external vendors
  • Negotiate engagement terms and fee structures to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Analyze spend trends to identify risks and opportunities for resource optimization
  • Collaborate with internal legal, finance, and procurement teams to achieve operational goals

Essential

  • Strategic oversight of departmental budgeting and financial planning
  • Experience in annual and quarterly forecasting and spend management
  • Ability to lead outside counsel strategy and panel management
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and fee structure alignment
  • Experience monitoring spend trends and providing resource allocation recommendations
