Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Legal department's annual and quarterly budget development and forecasting
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for managing outside counsel and external vendors
- Negotiate engagement terms and fee structures to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Analyze spend trends to identify risks and opportunities for resource optimization
- Collaborate with internal legal, finance, and procurement teams to achieve operational goals
Essential
- Strategic oversight of departmental budgeting and financial planning
- Experience in annual and quarterly forecasting and spend management
- Ability to lead outside counsel strategy and panel management
- Proven track record in contract negotiation and fee structure alignment
- Experience monitoring spend trends and providing resource allocation recommendations
- Ability to partner with internal stakeholders in Finance and Procurement
Preferred
- Experience working within a global headquarters or affiliate company structure
- Familiarity with alternative legal service providers (ALSPs)
