Essential

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a legal assistant or legal secretarial role
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience with document comparison tools and advanced MS Word styles
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as business needs dictate

Preferred

  • Prior experience with e-Filing systems across various court jurisdictions
  • Familiarity with legal billing processes and time-entry software
  • Deep understanding of specific legal practice areas
