Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient intake including medications, allergies, and social history
  • Assist healthcare providers during physical exams and clinical procedures
  • Manage administrative clinical tasks such as provider inbox messages and compliance logs
  • Maintain a sterile and organized clinical environment following strict infection control protocols
  • Support front-office tasks including patient scheduling and check-in when necessary

Essential

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, or EMT program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Active professional certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
  • Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Electronic Medical Records

Preferred

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Primary Care or Family Medicine
  • Background in Urgent Care or outpatient clinical settings
  • Hands-on experience with Athenahealth EMR software
  • Bilingual language skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and patient communication abilities
