Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient intake including medications, allergies, and social history
- Assist healthcare providers during physical exams and clinical procedures
- Manage administrative clinical tasks such as provider inbox messages and compliance logs
- Maintain a sterile and organized clinical environment following strict infection control protocols
- Support front-office tasks including patient scheduling and check-in when necessary
Essential
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, or EMT program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active professional certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Proficiency with computer systems and Electronic Medical Records
Preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Primary Care or Family Medicine
- Background in Urgent Care or outpatient clinical settings
- Hands-on experience with Athenahealth EMR software
- Bilingual language skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and patient communication abilities
