Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement foundational HR policies, equity programs, and compensation bands
- Partner with the CFO to align hiring plans with financial budgets and burn rates
- Lead end-to-end talent acquisition and employer branding initiatives
- Manage payroll coordination, benefits, and multi-state legal compliance
- Develop culture and engagement programs grounded in operational reality
- Provide data-driven insights on retention, hiring speed, and workforce metrics
Essential
- 7 to 12+ years of progressive experience in People Operations or Human Resources
- 3 to 5+ years of experience specifically within a scaling startup or tech environment (Series A-C)
- Proven track record of building HR functions from scratch in high-growth settings
- Strong operational background with experience in financial partnership and cost controls
- Expertise in multi-state and international labor law compliance
- Experience managing the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification
- Advanced degree in HR, Business, or a related field
- Experience preparing a company for future funding rounds or an IPO path
