Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate a diverse array of contracts including client, vendor, and service agreements
- Provide proactive legal counsel to senior executives on day-to-day business risks
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and HR to align legal strategies with corporate goals
- Develop and lead training sessions for business teams on legal best practices
- Ensure all contractual terms comply with applicable laws and internal risk tolerances
Essential
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state or D.C.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate law, business transactions, or contract law
- Ability to work on-site in North Bethesda 3 full days per week
- Experience advising on business operations under various client and vendor contract structures
Preferred
- Prior experience working in a law firm environment
- Previous in-house legal department experience
- Experience working with cross-functional corporate departments like Treasury, Tax, and HR
