Key Responsibilities
- Define the overarching design vision and quality bar for all Coast products
- Manage and mentor a current team of two IC designers with plans for expansion
- Serve as the primary product designer for a specific product team
- Collaborate with the SVP of Product to integrate design into the broader business strategy
- Establish foundational design processes, including potential UX research and writing functions
Essential
- Willingness to work in-person at the New York City office at least 3.5 days per week
- Proven experience in a 'player-coach' capacity, balancing management with hands-on design
- Ability to set and maintain high standards for user experience across a diverse product portfolio
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leadership to influence company strategy
Preferred
- Experience in the fintech or mobility sectors
- Previous experience scaling a design team from a small group to a mature department
- Background in building or overseeing design systems and UX research functions
