- Act as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team on all corporate and legal matters
- Design and implement a comprehensive roadmap for the internal legal department
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of all major commercial agreements
- Manage external counsel relationships and legal budgets
- Develop and deliver legal training programs for internal stakeholders
- Ensure robust compliance with data privacy and advertising standards
Essential
- Minimum of 10 years of legal practice experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in New York or California
- Background including both top-tier law firm and in-house experience
- Deep expertise in technology-sector legal issues
- Strong proficiency in trademark, copyright, and advertising law
- Expertise in data privacy regulations and compliance
- Proven track record of leading and scaling legal teams
- Experience in corporate governance and commercial contract negotiation
Preferred
- Prior experience as a General Counsel
- High-level experience as a Deputy General Counsel in a growth-stage company
