Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage and execute high-priority technical projects (60% of role)
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 1-2 Technical Project Managers (40% of role)
- Establish and scale organizational standards for project delivery and documentation
- Act as the primary liaison between Research, Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams
- Manage relationships with external partners, including donors and university leaders
Essential
- Proven experience in technical project management within a software or data-driven environment
- Ability to work primarily between 8am-6pm Eastern Time
- Experience managing a complex portfolio with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of project managers
- Strong understanding of sprint planning and technical decision-making processes
- Capability to translate technical priorities into actionable delivery plans
Preferred
- Experience in the social sector or non-profit technology space
- Background in data science or AI-driven product development
- Experience coaching team members from non-traditional project management backgrounds
