Key Responsibilities
- Modernize the entire data architecture and migrate legacy systems to a scalable cloud environment
- Architect and maintain a robust data lakehouse using AWS and potentially Databricks
- Design and implement MLOps pipelines to support real-time underwriting and operational models
- Establish company-wide data governance, quality controls, and security standards
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Data and ML Engineers
Essential
- Extensive experience in Data Engineering or Machine Learning Engineering
- Proven track record of leading large-scale data migrations from legacy systems to cloud environments
- Deep technical proficiency in the AWS ecosystem including S3, Glue, and Redshift
- Hands-on ability to write code and architect data lakehouse solutions
- Experience building and managing MLOps/AIOps pipelines for model deployment
- Strong background in establishing data governance and lineage standards
Preferred
- Experience with Databricks implementation
- Background in the Fintech or credit industry
- Experience with SageMaker for machine learning workflows
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment
