Key Responsibilities

• Direct the company's AI strategy to improve internal productivity and customer-facing tools
• Manage the engineering team in partnership with Data Science and Product Management
• Architect reliable and performant data infrastructure to solve specific business problems
• Support internal users in configuring, querying, and QAing data for product releases
• Balance short-term product velocity with long-term technical health and architectural decisions

Essential

• Expertise in modern data stacks including cloud data warehouses and ETL/ELT processes
• Proven experience scaling early-stage technical organizations and engineering teams
• Deep understanding of orchestration, streaming, and analytics layers
• Ability to work during US business hours (Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific)
• Experience designing warehouse and pipeline architectures with a focus on trade-off analysis
• Track record of productionizing R&D and Machine Learning models
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred

• Direct experience with analytics-heavy products
• Passion for business logic and the 'why' behind the data
• Experience handling complex data migrations
• Background in media or subscription-based industries
