Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plan regional Commission meetings, workshops, and community events
  • Maintain essential communication tools and program documentation for the network
  • Provide logistical support to seven county-based Marine Resources Committees (MRCs)
  • Act as a central liaison between state, federal, tribal, and NGO partners
  • Support the Commission's board and staff in advancing marine stewardship priorities

Essential

  • Ability to live within a commutable distance of the Mount Vernon duty station
  • Availability for in-person attendance at staff meetings and Commission events (2-4 times monthly)
  • Strong organizational and logistical planning capabilities
  • Experience in administrative support and document management
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including tribal and government officials

Preferred

  • Experience in environmental or marine conservation programs
  • Familiarity with Washington State environmental policy
  • Background in community-driven stewardship models
