Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the comprehensive public policy strategy for GWAAR
- Analyze state and federal legislation to determine impacts on the aging network
- Train local aging units and ADRCs on effective legislative engagement and testimony
- Manage and facilitate monthly leadership strategy meetings for WAAN
- Launch multi-channel advocacy campaigns including email, phone, and story collection
- Maintain active relationships with elected officials and government agency staff
Essential
- Ability to work standard business hours with flexibility for nights and weekends
- Willingness to travel for overnight assignments as required
- Experience in legislative monitoring and policy analysis
- Proven track record in grassroots organizing and coalition management
- Capability to provide executive-level support to advocacy networks
Preferred
- Existing relationships with Wisconsin state and federal elected officials
- Experience working with tribal aging units and ADRCs
- Background in developing educational curricula for legislative advocacy
