Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Chief Administrative Officer for all city departments
- Direct the operations and strategic planning for Ketchikan Public Utilities
- Manage municipal finances, including budgeting for enterprise and general funds
- Oversee seaport and cruise-ship facility operations to support the local economy
- Advise the Mayor and City Council on policy and community development
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible local government management experience
- Minimum of 4 years in a senior executive or administrative leadership role
- Proven track record in financial management and budgeting for diverse work programs
- Experience in a full-service city or similar complex organization
- Willingness to reside within the road system of Revillagigedo Island
Preferred
- Master of Public Administration (MPA)
- ICMA Credentialed Manager (ICMA-CM) status
- Certified Public Manager (CPM) designation
- Direct experience managing revenue-supported utility operations
- Background in enterprise-funded services, particularly seaports or cruise ship facilities
