Key Responsibilities

  • Authoring and editing grant proposals, LOIs, and concept papers for diverse funders
  • Maintaining a comprehensive institutional grants calendar and internal tracking systems
  • Collaborating with finance and program staff to collect data for impact reporting
  • Conducting deep-dive research to identify and qualify new foundation and corporate prospects
  • Developing a multi-year institutional funding strategy and revenue forecasts
  • Managing funder relationships and ensuring strict compliance with award requirements

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing or nonprofit development
  • Exceptional writing and editing capabilities with a focus on persuasive storytelling
  • Proven ability to manage complex project timelines and multiple deadlines
  • Experience with prospect research and identifying new funding streams
  • Ability to submit two writing samples from previously successful grant applications

Preferred

  • Experience working within arts or residency-based nonprofit organizations
  • Familiarity with government grant compliance and reporting standards
