Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations for streets, parks, water, wastewater, and public facilities
- Develop and administer departmental operating and capital budgets
- Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of skilled staff and external contractors
- Lead long-term capital improvement project planning and execution
- Ensure all utility operations meet local, state, and federal regulatory standards
- Represent the department in public meetings and serve as a technical advisor to the Village Board
Essential
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in public works or utility operations
- Three years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the ability to obtain one within 12 months
- Wisconsin DNR water and wastewater certifications or ability to obtain within one year
- Proven track record in budgeting and financial management
- Experience in project management and capital improvement planning
Preferred
- Advanced knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Experience acting as a liaison to elected boards or public committees
- Background in civil engineering or public administration
