Key Responsibilities
- Synthesize and characterize MOF/COF materials across various production scales
- Develop and optimize synthetic processes for organic ligands for commercial use
- Operate and maintain advanced analytical instrumentation for material study
- Mentor junior laboratory staff and technicians
- Document all experimental data in electronic notebooks and report to R&D leadership
- Collaborate with university partners and contribute to IP through invention disclosures
Essential
- PhD in Organic Chemistry from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral research experience
- 5 to 10 years of professional industry experience
- Proven track record of research in MOF or COF materials
- Demonstrated history of peer-reviewed publications
- Experience with chemical scale-up from lab to prototype
- Deep familiarity with laboratory health and safety protocols
Preferred
- Experience in technology transfer from academic settings to industry
- History of successful invention disclosures or patent filings
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth R&D environment
