Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a multi-year comprehensive fundraising strategy
  • Manage a personal portfolio of principal and major gift prospects
  • Supervise and mentor the development department staff and volunteers

  • Maintain data integrity and provide monthly philanthropic performance analysis

Essential

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership in philanthropy or advancement
  • At least 3-5 years of direct experience managing annual giving campaigns
  • Proven track record of successfully soliciting and stewarding gifts of $25,000 or more
  • Experience in capital campaign planning and execution
  • Ability to partner effectively with Board members and executive leadership
  • Deep commitment to progressive education and institutional values of diversity and inclusion

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in an independent school or non-profit educational setting
  • Familiarity with Indianapolis-area philanthropic networks
