Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a multi-year comprehensive fundraising strategy
- Manage a personal portfolio of principal and major gift prospects
- Supervise and mentor the development department staff and volunteers
- Oversee all stewardship events and signature fundraising activities
- Maintain data integrity and provide monthly philanthropic performance analysis
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure mission-aligned messaging
Essential
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership in philanthropy or advancement
- At least 3-5 years of direct experience managing annual giving campaigns
- Proven track record of successfully soliciting and stewarding gifts of $25,000 or more
- Experience in capital campaign planning and execution
- Ability to partner effectively with Board members and executive leadership
- Deep commitment to progressive education and institutional values of diversity and inclusion
Preferred
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience in an independent school or non-profit educational setting
- Familiarity with Indianapolis-area philanthropic networks
