Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-ready data models and schemas
• Implement automated testing and observability frameworks to ensure data reliability
• Optimize SQL queries and warehouse configurations to manage compute costs
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and coding standards for the data team
• Support the semantic layer and BI catalogs to facilitate self-service data exploration

Essential

• Strong commitment to software engineering best practices including testing, versioning, and peer reviews
• Ability to design modular data models using Star Schema or Kimball methodologies
• Capability to explain complex technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Expert-level SQL proficiency with a focus on maintainability and performance
• Hands-on experience with dbt or Coalesce
• Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery
• Proficiency with Git, command-line interfaces, and pull request workflows

Preferred

• Experience using Python for data orchestration or advanced manipulation
• Familiarity with workflow tools like Airflow
• Understanding of SaaS and Fintech metrics including ARR, churn, and financial reconciliation
