Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake and document clinical conditions and history
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations and procedures
- Communicate diagnostic results and clinical updates to the healthcare team
- Maintain strict adherence to office policies and regulatory healthcare standards
- Address the physical and psychosocial needs of patients and their families
Essential
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program recognized by the US Department of Education or CHEA
- Active certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (AMT, AAMP, AAH, AAMA, or NCCT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross
- Ability to maintain certification status throughout the duration of employment
Preferred
- One year of professional experience in a medical office or clinical environment
- Experience working within a rural health clinic setting
