Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the organizational strategic roadmap in coordination with the Board
• Cultivate and solicit major donations and strategic philanthropic investments
• Oversee a diverse staff across conservation, communications, and finance departments
• Act as the primary spokesperson to elevate the organization's national profile
• Ensure the integrity and safety of volunteer-led flight programs

Essential

• Proven track record of executive leadership within the nonprofit sector
• Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising and securing foundation partnerships
• Ability to lead and develop high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams
• Exceptional public speaking and ambassadorial capabilities
• Strong financial acumen including budget management and long-term fiscal planning
• Commitment to maintaining rigorous aviation safety and operational standards

Preferred

• Valid pilot's license
• Direct professional experience in environmental conservation or natural resource management
• Experience managing remote or geographically distributed teams
