Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Chief Administrative Officer overseeing all municipal operations and staff
- Implement and enforce state laws and local ordinances as directed by the Home Rule Charter
- Advise the Mayor and City Council on policy, fiscal health, and strategic planning
- Manage the city's expansion, focusing on infrastructure, residential, and commercial development
- Ensure transparent communication and accountability between the city government and its residents
Essential
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in municipal government
- At least three years of experience in a high-level leadership capacity (Department Director, Assistant City Manager, or City Manager)
- Proven track record in growth management and infrastructure oversight
- Demonstrated financial acumen and operational discipline
- Willingness to establish residency within the City of Farmersville within one year of hire
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) or Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience serving in communities with populations between 20,000 and 100,000
- ICMA Credentialed Manager status
- Texas Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification
- Extensive experience in long-term capital planning and strategic development
