Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Chief Administrative Officer overseeing all city operations and staff
- Implement and enforce state laws and local ordinances effectively
- Advise the Mayor and City Council on policy, budget, and strategic planning
- Manage large-scale infrastructure and capital improvement projects
- Maintain active and transparent engagement with the local community and stakeholders
Essential
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in municipal government
- At least three years of experience in a high-level leadership capacity (Department Director, Assistant City Manager, or City Manager)
- Proven track record in growth management and infrastructure oversight
- Willingness to establish residency within the City of Farmersville within one year of hire
- Demonstrated expertise in financial administration and operational discipline
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) or Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience managing municipalities with populations between 20,000 and 100,000
- ICMA Credentialed Manager status
- Texas Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification
- Extensive experience in long-term capital improvement planning
