Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Chief Administrative Officer overseeing all city operations and staff
  • Implement and enforce state laws and local ordinances effectively
  • Advise the Mayor and City Council on policy, budget, and strategic planning
  • Manage large-scale infrastructure and capital improvement projects
  • Maintain active and transparent engagement with the local community and stakeholders

Essential

  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in municipal government
  • At least three years of experience in a high-level leadership capacity (Department Director, Assistant City Manager, or City Manager)
  • Proven track record in growth management and infrastructure oversight
  • Willingness to establish residency within the City of Farmersville within one year of hire
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial administration and operational discipline

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) or Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience managing municipalities with populations between 20,000 and 100,000
  • ICMA Credentialed Manager status
  • Texas Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification
  • Extensive experience in long-term capital improvement planning
