Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of nurses, social care workers, and healthcare assistants
  • Coordinate service planning and resource management for day services
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health Act Regulations and safeguarding policies
  • Maintain supernumerary oversight of clinical and administrative operations
  • Foster educational opportunities and QQI course participation for service users
  • Participate in a weekend rotation (1 in 6) and occasional late shifts for staff support

Essential

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration nursing experience
  • At least 2 years of experience specifically within Intellectual Disability services
  • Proven management experience (3 years) or documented supervisory/PPIM experience
  • Full clean manual driving license and access to a personal vehicle for work duties
  • In-depth knowledge of Health Act Regulations and New Directions standards
  • Comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse and Neglect Policy (2015)

Preferred

  • Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) qualification
  • Formal qualification in Healthcare Management
