Key Responsibilities

  • Authoring compelling letters of inquiry and full-scale grant proposals for foundations

  • Coordinating with the Development Director to ensure accurate record-keeping and file maintenance
  • Managing the close-out process for completed grants and archiving project data

Essential

  • Minimum of an Associate degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
  • At least one year of professional experience writing grants for a nonprofit or academic institution
  • Proven track record of identifying and securing funding from diverse philanthropic sources
  • Expertise in drafting and editing complex proposals, case statements, and progress reports
  • Deep understanding of grant reporting standards and industry best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under strict submission deadlines
  • Willingness to work flexible or irregular hours to accommodate deadline surges
  • Competency with relational databases and specialized grant research software
  • High proficiency in Google Suite applications

Preferred

  • Three to five years of dedicated grant-writing experience within the nonprofit sector
  • Grant Professional Certified (GPC) designation or an equivalent professional certification
