Key Responsibilities

- Authoring compelling letters of inquiry and full-scale grant proposals for foundations
- Maintaining a rigorous master calendar for all application and reporting deadlines
- Coordinating with the Development Director to ensure accurate record-keeping and file maintenance
- Managing the close-out process for completed grants and archiving project data
Essential
- Minimum of an Associate degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
- At least one year of professional experience writing grants for a nonprofit or academic institution
- Proven track record of identifying and securing funding from diverse philanthropic sources
- Expertise in drafting and editing complex proposals, case statements, and progress reports
- Deep understanding of grant reporting standards and industry best practices
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under strict submission deadlines
- Willingness to work flexible or irregular hours to accommodate deadline surges
- Competency with relational databases and specialized grant research software
- High proficiency in Google Suite applications
Preferred
- Three to five years of dedicated grant-writing experience within the nonprofit sector
- Grant Professional Certified (GPC) designation or an equivalent professional certification
