Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily financial operations including payroll and revenue activities
  • Produce monthly financial statements and performance dashboards
  • Monitor grant expenditures to ensure accurate allocation and compliance
  • Liaise with the Finance Committee and Board regarding financial health
  • Maintain office administrative needs and supply management
  • Lead the coordination of external audits and tax filings

Essential

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit financial management
  • Proven experience managing grants and restricted funding
  • Expertise in day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, and payroll
  • Ability to manage month-end close and account reconciliations
  • Experience with government agency registrations at local, state, and federal levels
  • Capability to lead annual audits and 1099 tax return preparation

Preferred

  • CPA certification
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Advanced experience with government grant accounting
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge and QuickBooks integration
