Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily financial operations including payroll and revenue activities
- Produce monthly financial statements and performance dashboards
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure accurate allocation and compliance
- Liaise with the Finance Committee and Board regarding financial health
- Maintain office administrative needs and supply management
- Lead the coordination of external audits and tax filings
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit financial management
- Proven experience managing grants and restricted funding
- Expertise in day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, and payroll
- Ability to manage month-end close and account reconciliations
- Experience with government agency registrations at local, state, and federal levels
- Capability to lead annual audits and 1099 tax return preparation
Preferred
- CPA certification
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Advanced experience with government grant accounting
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge and QuickBooks integration
