Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for the CFTC and manage all regulatory examinations and reviews
  • Oversee the drafting and submission of rule filings and self-certifications under Part 40
  • Direct the market regulation function and lead investigations into potential rule violations
  • Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer to ensure margin and default management meet Core Principles
  • Certify Annual Compliance Reports for both the DCM and DCO entities
  • Advise the Board on the regulatory impact of new business lines and emerging technologies

Essential

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory functions
  • Extensive background within the US derivatives sector (Exchange, Clearinghouse, FCM, or Regulatory body)
  • Expertise in the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA), specifically Parts 38, 39, and 40
  • Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and reporting to C-suite/Board levels
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
  • Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Experience with digital asset derivatives or fintech-forward platforms
