Key Responsibilities
- Serve on the Bishop’s executive team to provide strategic guidance on property and finance.
- Manage all treasury functions, including the Board of Pensions and Board of Trustees.
- Direct the annual budget process in collaboration with district offices and stakeholders.
- Coordinate mandatory insurance programs for churches, camps, and subsidiaries.
- Translate financial results into actionable insights for diverse organizational boards.
- Provide training and guidance to local church financial committees and secretaries.
Essential
- Ability to serve as the Conference Treasurer and Director of Administrative Services
- Adherence to denominational rules and practices (Book of Discipline ¶612 and ¶619)
- Expertise in GAAP standards and financial reporting
- Experience in treasury functions and fiduciary management
- Capability to oversee employee benefits, pension, and insurance programs
Preferred
- Experience working within a non-profit or religious organizational structure
- Familiarity with the United Methodist Church's administrative systems
- Background in multi-state property and liability insurance coordination
