- Manage vendor records, W-9 documentation, and payment inquiries (20% of role)

- Ensure all expenditures comply with state, federal, and university guidelines
Essential
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles and internal financial controls
Preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Prior experience working within higher education, state agencies, or public sector environments
- Familiarity with State of Texas travel and purchasing regulations
- Technical proficiency with Banner or similar ERP financial management software
- Knowledge of Texas State University System (TSUS) policies
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and standard office productivity suites
